Core Laboratories

The Core Labs provide infrastructure, expertise, and independent analysis of the numerous clinical studies that take place under the auspices of CRF and other data centers around the world. Operating in compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), the Core Laboratories have helped place CRF at the forefront of cardiovascular research by constantly refining how we analyze and interpret the enormous quantities of data generated by the many clinical trials and research studies routinely performed by CRF. Consequently, the Core Laboratories have frequently developed the rationale, measurement, and analysis strategies for specific trials investigating pharmacologic, device, or combination coronary and peripheral interventions.

The Core Labs provide the gamut of services from protocol development and preparation of site manuals to problem resolution, data preparation, and management and tracking in compliance with FDA regulations. The result is a high quality, timely service tailored to meet the regulatory and scientific/mechanistic needs of both the trial and governmental regulation.

Angiographic Core Lab
The Angiographic Core Lab provides full–fledged angiographic analysis capabilities for a busy clinical service. The Lab is particularly strong in the areas of stent development, including drug-coated stent research and the investigation of radiation devices. More on Angiographic Core Labs...

IVUS Lab
In addition to supporting a busy clinical diagnostic function, the Intravascular Ultrasound Lab provides research mechanisms and tools in support of the numerous CRF clinical research initiatives.

ECG Lab
The ECG Lab supports the busy diagnostic service function of CRF patient care and provides data critical to clinical trials, including data that can prove or disprove specific events and endpoints such as myocardial infarction.

Echocardiography Lab
The brand new, state-of-the-art Echocardiography Lab plays a key role in the large epidemiologic NIH–sponsored AASK (African American Study of Kidney Disease) trial.
